When REPIC became the producer compliance scheme for The Highland Council in 2009, REPIC agreed to continue to employ ILM Highland to make the HWRC collections of waste electricals to benefit this local enterprise and the wider community.
Today, ILM continues to deliver a Waste Electrical Recycling and Reuse service for the Highland area, collecting and recycling some 2,400 tonnes of electrical waste annually.
Its Electrical Retail Outlet sells a wide selection of new and reconditioned electrical appliances, including washing machines, tumble dryers, cookers, fridges and freezers. Goods can be bought and taken away on the same day; they also offer a home delivery service and recycling of your old machine.
Working together since 2009
The scheme collects and recycles some 2,400 tonnes of electrical waste annually.
This partnership has enabled ILM Highland to maintain its independent social enterprise with charitable status.
